We’re big fans of little people, the grown-ups who love them and families of all kinds.
Since 2009, we’ve coaxed smiles out of teenagers, wrangled reluctant relatives, corralled unruly toddlers, become the best of friends with the shyest of kids, and calmed anxious humans both big and small. This makes us one of the longest-running family photography studios in Canberra (now expanding to the Blue Mountains) and also the luckiest people we know.
We’ve won a bunch of professional photography awards, more than any other family photography studio in Australia, in fact. And while we’re proud of all the awards, they’re not why we do what we do. We do it because even after all these years, we still fall in love with every person we photograph and every family we meet.
Heartstory is your one-stop-shop for maternity & newborn photography sessions, family sessions featuring babies & children, all types of family portraits (including couples, young families, older families, extended and generational families, found family, and friends who are family.) Pets are always welcome. We offer outdoors sessions around Canberra and the Blue Mountains, studio sessions in our Belconnen studio and sessions at your home in Canberra and the Blue Mountains. We also work with businesses who need corporate or business portraits and we accept a small number of wedding photography bookings each year too.

Consultation
Over the phone. We get to know you, find out your hopes and wishes for your photos, and discuss things like location and styling.
The
Session
On location, in studio or at your place (your home or rural property). You have an absolute blast being photographed by us and we capture all the magic.
The purchasing appointment
At our studio in Belconnen or online via Zoom. You come for a personal appointment. Your decision-making game is strong. We create beautiful artwork for you to keep forever.
