No doubt you’ve heard about Babies in Bonnets, an annual Heartstory photography project which since we started in 2019 has raised nearly $50,000 for Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA)!
Having now completed all the gorgeous baby sessions for 2021, and the design of the book, we are doing the very last thing: deciding which adorable baby is going to star on the front cover! AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
How to vote
We have done a mock up cover for every baby in the book, and we are giving YOU the opportunity to vote for your favourite! The design with the most votes will be THE COVER for our amazing book!!! As a bonus, this means that the lucky family with the most votes will have not just ONE photo in our book but TWO, because we will choose a second image to go on their feature spread. And we will also gift that lucky family an extra copy of the book!!!
Plus, for taking the time to vote for your favourite cover, you could win a $400 Heartstory Family Photography Experience for your own family! How cool is that?

We are still short of our 2021 goal so we need your help! Perinatal Anxiety and Depression affects 1 in 5 mothers and 1 in 10 fathers in Australia and the money we raise goes directly towards supporting struggling parents and getting them the help they need, as well as supporting our health professionals who work with parents. The work PANDA does is so very needed, especially since the pandemic started – we all know someone who has been through this.

Voting Terms & Conditions
- Only one entry per family/IP address will be accepted. An additional vote can be counted for the same baby if a donation is made to PANDA via the Babies in Bonnets My Cause page (linked on this page) during the voting period of 29 September to 11 October 2021.
- Entrants must be over the age of 18.
- Entries close at 9am Monday October 11th, 2021.
- The winner of the cover competition will be notified by phone on Monday October 11th, 2021, and announced on social media. The winner will have the chosen photograph feature as the cover of the 2021 Babies in Bonnets book and will receive an additional signed copy of the book.
- A small selection of voters will be chosen to receive a Heartstory Portrait Experience of their own. These winners will be notified by SMS no later than Friday October 15th. The $400 prize is for an outdoors or studio Heartstory Family Photography Experience (worth $200), and $200 credit towards photographic artwork. Prize packages must be used by 30 March 2022.
- Prizes may not be substituted for any other product or service (such as a wedding photography package) or used in conjunction with any other promotion, gift certificate or discount, and are not redeemable for cash.
