If you book an outdoors photo session, we choose the location for you based on a number of different factors, including things like:
- the types of images you want (ie, environmental, documentary, classic, etc)
- places that might be significant to you
- whether you have a dog coming along
- how old your kids are
- how active/adventurous everyone is
- the time of year and the time of day
We also have to factor in logistics like our schedule, the angle of the sun (which changes dramatically throughout the seasons), and our own personal creative criteria, which might be along the lines of ‘this is my current favourite spot because it offers so much variety and suits the light and scenery at this particular time of year.’
And something else that we have to consider from time to time is when something is going on in a certain spot that makes it extra busy or impractical. Or, the government is doing environmental work in the area (which is currently happening in one of our very, very favourite spots).
So you see, it’s not a simple thing! Especially when you are known for your beautiful scenic photos!
