Aw you guys! was pretty much the catch cry between Matt and I and Katie and Jeremy – it was definitely love at first sight with these guys and the mutual appreciation just kept on flowing right from our first consult until the end of our very rambunctious reception.
We knew our photographers needed to be amazing, and it’s pretty obvious from their work and awards that Katie and Jeremy are just that. But the extra special sauce – the stuff you can’t see from the website – was the energy they put in to listening and connecting with us and what we wanted from our wedding photography. They wanted to know about us as individuals and as a couple, about what our wedding meant to us, what kind of energy we wanted from the day. It was pretty clear we’d made the right choice during our engagement shoot, when even though we spent a lot of time wrapped up in each other’s arms in the middle of a forest all romantic like, the best shots are of us laughing our asses off (which is a pretty accurate representation of us in general!) because of the fun we were having! And they certainly didn’t fail to deliver on the wedding day. They did an absolutely perfect job of telling the story for us – capturing the pre-wedding preparations and excited/nervous smiles; the rustic, wintery feel of day; the love and connection between my husband, daughter and I; and the fun and frivolity of the reception. I felt in very safe hands and had an enormous amount of trust that they both knew what we needed and would do anything and everything they could to get it for us.
I know we will treasure the memories Katie and Jeremy captured for us for the rest of our lives. These images can only be described as a perfect reflection of us, and I can’t think of anything more you need from your wedding photographer than that.
