You’re already worried about:
• The weather playing nice
• Your kids misbehaving
• Whether you’ve made the right outfit choices
And now the day has arrived and your youngest has gone and skipped his nap, and your eldest has an angry looking scratch right on her cheek and doesn’t want to wear the shoes you picked out.
The thing is that nothing in life is perfect. Perfection is a myth! Your photo session won’t be perfect either and we promise you: It. Doesn’t. Matter.
Why? Because the magical moments that you want in your photos are just moments and moments can be captured. Smiles and laughter and cuddles can be over in seconds and seconds can be captured. Same goes for tears and cranky shouts and poked out tongues and running away!
Family life is made up of moments. Some of them are amazing, some of them are awful and some of them are in between.
The thing is that most photos are taken in 1/1000th of a second or faster! Let that sink in.
Sometimes photo sessions are really smooth, relaxed and easy. Sometimes they’re crazy and raucous and unpredictable. Usually, they’re a reflection of your kids and where they’re at and there ain’t nothing you can do to change that. And it honestly doesn’t matter! Because when we add up all the 1/1000ths of a second that we capture over the hour we’re with you, you’re going to have an amazing collection of loving, funny, beautiful, meaningful, interesting and personality-filled images that tell the story of your family.
Scratches can be photo-shopped. The weather is a minor part of the big picture. Wrong shoes won’t matter in 6 months time. Even bad DIY haircuts will become a part of your story that you look back on with love and laughter.
