what to expect

For the first time EVER, we are offering an opportunity to get those rare Dad + Kids portraits, captured by our favourite Dad and 2023 Australian Family Photographer of the Year – Jeremy Byrnes – at Heartstory’s Belconnen studio for one day only.

These sessions are custom designed for Dads: so they’re quick and painless, but also great fun and yielding a broad collection of photos to choose from.

Jeremy will aim to create a collection of 10-15 images for you, including:

Classic portrait: everyone looking at the camera
Lighthearted & candid: showing love and connection
Silly & playful: showing personality
If there is time (depending on number of family members) Jeremy will also capture images of dad with each child, one-on-one.

You will receive your images in an online gallery within 24 hours (ie, on Father’s Day). You may choose your 3 included files and download immediately, or purchase prints and digital upgrades directly from the gallery!

Mini sessions will take place at Heartstory HQ, Level 1, 17 Market Street, Belconnen, ACT on Saturday 2 September 2023.

Inclusivity is important to us, so if you’re not a dad but you have that role in your family, you can book a session. Equally, all ages are welcome so if you’re a grown up kid, and you want to grab your siblings and bring your dad in, you can!

Terms & Conditions of BOOKING

The person who books will receive all correspondence and info regarding the sessions.
Package must be paid in full at time of booking.
Only one family per booking, and attendance at the session is limited to the family who will be photographed.
All sales are final and no refunds, reschedules or cancellations will be given under any circumstances. If you are sick on the day please SMS 0418 863 488 to let us know and we will give you a gift certificate to the value of $295 to use for a Heartstory Portrait Experience in the next 12 months. If you don’t show up and haven’t been in touch there will be no credit given.
The purpose of these sessions is to capture photos of dad (or father role) and kids. Mums are welcome, but additional photos will be time-dependent.
Photos in the online gallery will be supplied in colour and black & white. 3 downloadable high resolution files are included in the package price. Additional files and prints can be purchased via the online gallery.
