March // Afternoon // Canberra // Family of 7 with children aged 7 – 14 years old
After many years of dealing with the serious illness of one of our children we were looking to record a celebration of our family unit. Having cone across Jeremy and Katie’s works at Floriade I instantly felt they would be the right photographers for us. Their images always seem to beautifully capture the essence of their subject and the environment.
We wanted a water based shoot, water being a cleansing, healing element. Jeremy had the perfect spot in mind.
The setting was beautiful with running water and natural surrounds. Katie and Jeremy moved professionally to capture all 5 of our children, my husband and I in this wonderful setting.
We knew Jeremy was prepared for immersing himself literally in the shoot when we saw him present to us in board shorts!!
The shot of all of our children on the rocks in that setting captured their personalities perfectly!! It was a magic frame.
We just love every thing this talented pair captured on that day. The black and white images, the individual frames and the family images remind us of just how far we have come every time we look at them.
And yes, all the kids did end up soaking wet in the water, playing and well nothing could be better than that!
