My philosophy

I am passionate about capturing life and telling stories with photographs.

I believe that everyone should invest in professional photography at least once or twice.  There are certain times in life that beg to be captured, beautifully and sensitively, by a professional photographer, to make sure you never forget.

I aim to capture the ‘right now’ of who you are. I like to capture you in your own environment, or at a location which you connect with in some way. I watch and wait for both laughter and quietness. I capture relationships and what connects you to one another. I work from the heart to capture for you the same things I would want captured of my own family, and I do so with joy, passion and artistic vision.

There are no rules as to who I photograph and when. You could be first time parents with a roly-poly baby, a family of six, a couple with furbabies, you might have grown up children who are about to leave home, you could be celebrating an important anniversary, you might be an individual.  The important thing is that you recognise the value photography can add to your life.

Having your story told through someone else’s eyes is an empowering reminder that our lives and the people in them are precious, unique and valuable. My photo sessions are a celebration of simple things like love and togetherness. Sometimes we get so caught up in the busy-ness of daily life, that we forget that those things are what really matters most. Those are the things that lift us up, carry us, and keep us grounded when times are tough.

I know there will be days in your future when you will look at the images I create for you, and they will transport you to another place and time, and your heart will feel nourished and grateful. I know there will be times in your future when you will truly need these photographs, and so will your children. And their children.  I believe that photographs are windows back to what matters most, and their power and significance grows with time.

I believe that life is always a story worth telling, no matter how ordinary it may seem.
